Dave’s Ahi Tuna Caribbean Style

Serving Size 4

4 Ahi Tuna Steaks
1 1/2 cup chopped green onions (Scallions)
1 1/2 cup chopped Cilantro
2 crushed cloves of garlic
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup sesame oil
1/4 cup of honey
4 or 5 shakes of hot sauce
A dash or 2 of salt and pepper and a pinch of red pepper

Place Ahi steaks in shallow bowl. Mix all the other ingredients in a bowl. Pour over Ahi, cover and refrigerate for 8 hours. The Ahi really picks up the flavors of the marinade.
When ready to cook, let Ahi come to room temperature and grill about 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Great served with rice and a vegetable of your choice.

Hint: If you are on a budget, Trader Joes has the best vacuum packed frozen Ahi Tuna steaks. You can get 2 large steaks for about $4.50. They taste WONDERFUL! Make sure they are thawed before you marinade them.
